Timur Tillyaev joins the board of UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital

Opened in 2008, the hospital provides world-class care to the most critically ill children in an environment that is both welcoming and healing to children and their families. Timur Tillyaev joined the board of UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital in early 2020.

The Hospital’s Mission statement reads:

UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital’s mission is to provide state-of-the art treatment for children in a compassionate atmosphere, as well as conduct research that improves the understanding and treatment of pediatric diseases and to train the next generation of leaders in pediatrics.

Timur brings to the board nearly two-decades experience supporting children’s healthcare through the You Are Not Alone Foundation, which has provided medical equipment to multiple health institutions and facilitated expert French surgeons to provide training and heart surgery in Uzbekistan.

On being appointed to the board, Timur Tillyaev said: “I’m humbled and grateful to be able to contribute to the vital work of this fantastic hospital, which sets a leading example in its care and its compassion. I believe that by giving children the best opportunities we are investing in a better world, and I look forward to applying my experience to this important role.”
